Over the past few decades, many hospitals in the U.S. have formed and used their separate foundations as key fundraising tools. As the healthcare sector evolves and new hospital systems are created or new partners join existing ones, hospital leaders will need to assess their hospital foundation strategies. Will they utilize a parent model, or will they continue with local foundations? How are local and/or system-wide strategic philanthropic objectives identified and action plans created? How are evolving boards engaged in a new environment? This webinar will review these options and discuss research derived from New York State, which can be applied to the national marketplace. We will also review the ways hospital foundations can maximize their fundraising and governance strategies, including the development of strategic philanthropic objectives and board engagement.
